Has anyone been diagnosed with Meningioma with edema?

Hi, thanks for the sentiment. Mr. Meningioma was a 6 cm monster located in the right frontal lobe at the midline. There was a lot of swelling and edema associated with it. Fortunately it was right at the top of my head and relatively easy to access and remove. The surgery took “only” 4 hours and there was minimal pain. Where is your tumor located? Has the surgeon discussed the approach?

@kdog1957 did they do a resection and remove part of scull to get to it? If so, any numbing or hollowing?

I have an MRI coming up March 24 and hoping it hasn’t grown. There’s edema and hoping there’s no change or possibly disappeared. My son said he asked if the edema could possibly shrink or disappear and said it wouldn’t without surgery. It’s frightening what they may find. Hoping for the best.
