Success stories solving rib pain please!!!

Pain that does not show up on any imaging. I’m doing osteopathic manipulation, which has helped me, but I’m very scared that this is gonna be forever.

Please give me your success stories

@jdbarr1 Good afternoon, thank you for writing in. I have had pain in my low back and right side (flank/oblique muscles constantly locked/spasmed) that no one can figure out. I just started looking for an Osteopathic doctor to see if they can figure this out. What do you recommend when looking for a DO?

My orthopedic doctor & his group are my bone go to. I'm also involved with a relationship with my heating pads. (smiling) I am starting LDN for ME/CFS after a 9 hr overload shutdown. Just before my brain shut everything down, my entire rib cage started its pain. Understand I DO NOT suggest this, it was beyond my control, but I put my pads on my rib cage on low just before my brain powered off. 9 hrs later I awoke. Still fatigued, but ribs/sternum didn't hurt. I could breathe without pain. Shallow breathing can cause lung issues for me. I'm actually grateful my brain said Enough. ME/CFS is hard to live with. It causes you to realize what is important & what to walk away from. Many have judged it mental. It is not. Those people I don't need. They are part of the auto immune problem for me. I'm grateful for finding about LDN. Research it long & deep before you jump into it. For me it is a good fit. Pain, ribs, auto immune system, everything. I am looking forwards to re-learning to walk without stressing about nerve pain making me stuck while walking. I have hope. Hope of no more ER visits for the rib pain. I understand how you physically feel jdbarr1. Keep fighting. There's an answer out there. We are here with you.

@jdbarr1 I had pain in the right anterior rib cage with intermittent radiation pain to the right side and abdomen . I also felt right sided shortness of breath. It started mildly and gradually worsened. I saw so many doctors, had every lab and scan done, and was told I was fine. After 5 horrible years of symptoms, I diagnosed myself. I had to ultimately get a pain doctor. I slept on my left side for 2 years because I could not sleep on the right, now my left is symptomatic
Please look at the groups. The symptoms of SRS are varied. Most patients have been dismissed by doctors for years, telling them “everything looks ok, it’s probably anxiety”. The symptoms of slipping rib syndrome are severe, real and have been poorly diagnosed. There are only approximately 100 doctors across the country that treat Slipping Rib. Please check out the Facebook groups and slippingribsyndrome.org. The moderators of the Facebook groups are well informed.
