My apologies @jps1313. You did mention the surgery was only 15 days ago at the time of your comment.
Please ignore my comments on dry kneedling. I think this can be effective as a long-term treatment for muscle tightness, but not during rehab from a knee replacement.
Why did your surgeon say that a knee replacement would help with tight hamstrings? I've had both knees replaced, primarily to relieve pain caused by osteophytes and no cartilage left in my knees. The surgery and rehab gave me that relief.
Anyway, just wondering about the comment on your hamstrings. Also, please keep in mind that a large tourniquet is placed around the thigh before and during surgery. My surgeon didn't tell me and 3 days after surgery all my quads turned black and blue. I freaked out! I didn't know they did that, apply a tourniquet, but it certainly makes sense to stem blood flow during surgery. Anyway, over time, all the bruising disappeared.
I hope you get some answers when you have your firt post-op visit.
