Hip pain several years after a hip resurfacing

In 2020, I had a right hip resurfacing. (The hardware was a BHR, comprised of chromium and cobalt.) All went well for the first year or two, though the last two years I have had severe pain in the groin/ hip flexor area. The pain is most pronounced while sitting or standing in one place. MRIs and Xrays reveal no structural issues and my blood metal levels are low. The pain is getting worse, on a daily basis. Thoughts?

A lot of hip / groin pain comes from the lower back. Maybe get that checked out. I have 2 resurfaced hips that are 15 & 9 years old. I am 57 years old and they are still going strong.

I had my right hip replaced fifteen years ago; about two years ago my right buttock started to get this dull pain that would get me off my feet for a bit, not long, while I was standing; cooking or waiting on some line, etc.
This past summer it got worse and the ortho's thought it was SI; after two injections of cordizone and no relief, I saw a chiropractor that says it's most definitely my hip area. MRI and x-rays have shown no movement of the replaced joint. PT has helped but I'm limited to playing tennis or standing in a creek while fishing, to maybe 2 times a week. It usually feels fine in the a.m. but then progresses to painful walking with dull pain in that buttock, by afternoon. I usually lie on my other side while TV viewing by the end of the night.
I'm trying to figure out what is next but I sympathize with your pain!
