@cghernand Has anyone checked your SI joint (where the spine connects to the pelvis)? SI joint pain is very similar to sciatic pain and is often mistaken for sciatic pain. It can cause foot numbness and develop without a prior history of back problems. here is a link to a Google search on causes of SI joint issues without prior back problems:

Hello everyone my name is Michael, I am 65 yrs old. Every since 2021 I developed left shoulder pain, I noticed it was swollen: the swollen went down a few days later, but the pain continued. After trying heat and cold pads, nothing took away the pain.
My left shoulder usage became limited. 2024 and 2025 I had x-rays, nothing much came out of the
x-rays. I can't take UNSAID because of gastritis and diabetic. I have OA in bilateral knees. The left side of my neck a few minor aches along the arm as well. Some days I would mobilize my left arm to keep from using, but haven't had any pain resolution.

1 ReactionHello there, my name is Paperhat and I have Fibromyalgia. I have had it for 15 years now and have constantly seen suggestions to exercise or go on a walk to help the symptoms. How can I do this when, just putting my feet to the floor is agony?
Hello my name is Kristy, I just turned 48 and I have been dealing with Chronic pain for years now. I have stage 4 Osteoarthritis in my hands and knees along with back, hip, shoulder and wrist issues/pain. I’m so tired of hearing doctors say “you’re too young for this” and I am exhausted from not getting any relief from any of the doctors. I feel like doctors just don’t care and I am just a cog in the money machine we call healthcare. Some days the pain is so unbearable I just wanna give up and even on my good days it is hard to do much of anything which is very defeating. I feel like all my hopes and dreams are no longer attainable. I haven’t been able to work in years and it has been a financial burden on my family. It feels like my life is over. I am unable to do the things I enjoy and now it’s just a struggle to maintain everyday tasks, including self care. My husband is often resentful on days I can’t even get out of bed and I don’t know how to get him to understand. I feel like nobody understands and I find myself just trying to push through the pain to take care of my family when all I really want is someone to help me. At this point I have no hope. I’ve given up on the doctors as they don’t seem to care and haven’t given me any relief. I’m hoping anyone can help to guide me.

2 Reactions@akristykat I really hope your doctors are giving you sufficient pain meds. If not try 1) different doc, and 2) if not forceful. can you learn? I find it helps and if the doctor is alienated it means their egos are too important. I find, I know many can’t handle it, but larger doses of gabapentin for fibromyalgia and other neurological disorders. I occasionally use Tylenol 3 because all the others have so many side effects. I find being assertive helps otherwise the depression wins.
@akristykat Has anyone discussed a pain pump with you. I have no idea if it will help, but it is worth looking into.
I’m Keith and I’m suffering from chronic leg and foot pain. My neurologist has ruled out neuropathy and suspects that I have a nerve damage in my spine. I’m scheduled for an MRI on the 24th of March.
@akristykat have you heard about the Spero clinic in Fayetteville AR, they have unique treatment programs to address pain such as CRPS and Long Covid.
