Switching to At-Home PD from ICHD post-BN?

I'm currently doing ICHD and seeking BN to remove massive ADPKD twins.
I hope to transition to at-home PD since my wife is AWOL. Moreover: The switch would favor my failing heart; ease wear/tear on my 2000 Ford.
Has anyone tred this path?

@gzr63 You are currently doing in-center hemodialysis, and would like to switch to peritoneal dialysis.

You state your wife is AWOL, but do you have a caregiver at home with you? A friend or family member?

Have you checked with your nephrologist about switching over to PD? Not everyone can do it, and there usually is an assessment made. If you have had abdominal surgeries, your peritoneal cavity may not be able to be used. Also, your BMI can be a factor.
