13 months post total hip replacement and I still cannot sleep on that side for longer than two hours. Is this normal?

@tct Normal is a funny thing. I have had both hips replaced, have rheumatoid arthritis and asthma, and cannot sleep in any single position for more than an hour. It never occurred to me that there was anything abnormal about this - I think most people change position as many as 10-20 times a night.
I could not sleep for more than 30-40 minutes on either side within the year after my hip replacements.

Just the opposite, Had THR 2 years ago and have been in constant back and pelvic pain, I do not move at all when I sleep...never!
I have been through epidurals, nerve blocks (2), and ablation. Just keep getting. No concrete answers on what happened, and 3 hip specialists told me my surgery was successful, so now I am disabled.
Sorry you are so miserable, and I do understand.
Any words of wisdom out there?
