Help with clinical trials (RMC-6236 and it's variations)
Hi everyone,
My husband who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer is approaching the end of his chemotherapy treatment and i'm trying to explore next step options / trials but the information can be really confusing and overwhelming in terms of inclusion criteria.
He was diagnosed stage 3 and had a whipple. Post whipple he started on Folfrinox and then switched to Irinotecan due to tolerance issues. 2 months later a pet scan revealed mets in his liver so the chemo was considered not effective and switched to Gem/ Abraxane which he responded wonderfully to. His latest scans that all the mets have dissapeared. We have 6 more chemotherapy sessions to go.
Can he get on any versions of the RAS inhibitor trials? Or has he had too many prior lines of chemo? I'd be delighted to hear from those of you that have been on the trials or if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

@gamaryanne We thought we had a good lead at a location 5 hours away from home, and all enrollment paperwork completed. Literally, last minute on a Friday evening, they said the trial does not allow them to enroll and slots are closed at the site :(. Back to the search. RMC 6236 and 9805 seem to be in huge demand around the country. Really hope they get approved for use by FDA soon.

1 ReactionDid anyone recently get on a RMC drug trial, say in Jan/Feb 2026? If every site is waitlisting patients and the drug company Revolution medicine is not opening slots, we are all left with patients having no hope for their life. We have called every site in the country and even Rev med company, there is currently a big waitlist of patients and they are working on closing the current trials. I understand it is a lot of investment, but if the drug isn't coming to market anytime soon this year, how do we get our hands on it to get a chance of survival? KRAS does not respond to any kind of chemo from results we are seeing/hearing from others. It is a very sad state for patients and families trying to navigate trials on their own, with no support from our hospital.

I've been fighting this disease for 3.5 years and it's been a fight the entire time with being "cancer free" for 3-4 months on 2 different occasions. I have KRAS12D, TP53, and a mutated ATM. I've been on 3 different types of chemo and for me they seem to shrink tumors or lesions, not kill them. Once I'm
off chemo, they grow back. One of the earliest RM6236 trials closes in July of this year; I have no idea of its success - it's all about that I believe in order for FDA to approve before it can be released to public but maybe @stageivsurvivor can better educate us on that process. Some people seem to have success with radiation.

1 Reaction@ekaptur This trial is also waitlisted in Virginia, like all other RMC trials unfortunately.
@mnewland99 Thanks for sharing your experience. Which chemo were you on? Same here with KRASG12D, awaiting biopsy results on other mutations. Have you not tried any of the RMC drugs so far?

1st chemo: 5FU Folfirnox - off 4 months and cancer showed up in liver and 2 very small peritoneal nodules; 2nd chemo: GAC (gem, abraxane, cisplatin) fir 1 year and MRI dean radiation - cancer free for 3 months but dr put me on Gemcitabine anyways due to nature of pancreatic cancer. After 3 months cancer csme back with a vengeance in liver and many peritoneal nodules appeared. Tried new chemo (can't remember name now) which made me very sick so stopped after 1.5 months. Asked to go back on gemcitabine and abraxane but was out on aggressive schedule and had bad reaction; last treatment was in December. Not on anything now and cancer is flourishing. Maybe I'll try 5 FU again. Dr on vacation this week so I won't know until next week.

Hi, you may try to look for the information in a Facebook group called KRAS Kickers, they post updates of the news related to KRAS driven cancers, trials, etc. They’ve just launched a new project to help navigating info with the trials so it’s maybe worth checking in: https://krashub.org/

1 ReactionI second the KRAS kickers site. I am also in a group chat with REV MED clinical trial participants since I was one. Many people have had long lasting, stabilizing results. There is a KRAS G12D specific drug as well as one that is used against all KRAS “varieties”.
It is being tested on many Pcancer patients as well as NSCLC patients. I cannot tell from discussions which are having better results. We are being told by many sources that the pan KRAS drug, now named Doraxasonib(or similar!) will be released this year. This is why many trials are concluding. However, they are continuing some trials where it is being tested in combination with current therapies like Gemcitabine.
It stabilized and shrunk my target tumor for about 5 months then I chose to hop off it and have targeted radiation while it was small. I was in a phase 1 trial with both drugs, so the appropriate dosing had not yet been set. I am KRAS G12D, TP53, and ATM. No genetic mutations known.
