No, not generally crampy. Although have had neck cramps, quick and over on a few occasions. Tight and sore as you mentioned. Did you receive a definitive diagnosis? Did they determine the cause? Specific treatment? Thank you so very much. Glad you are well. : )

@hmcski , yes, well, I was actually treated by a neurologist. He wasn’t sure what caused it. He prescribed PT consisting of trigger point therapy, heat therapy, electrical stimulation, etc. Nothing would make it let go. I stood in my doorway and banged my back into the doorframe in attempts to make it release. The doctor and therapists said they could feel it, but it was stubborn. Finally, he referred me to ortho for a botox injection. My insurance denied but before my appointment to get it anyway, it released! So far it hasn’t returned. I’d get botox without delay if it happens again.
