Has anyone been diagnosed with a spinal issue that’s causing the neuropathy like symptoms?

I’ve had 2 spinal surgeries due to spinal sinuous and due to both surgeries that were successful the residual is neuropathy in my feet.
I take nortripolene 10mg at night and it takes the burn away.
Never a cure and I wish there was.

Hello,

I was drawn to this discussion by the title question: "Does neuropathy ever go away?" I remember asking myself that question, over and over, in the summer and fall of 2023, following my first "official" diagnosis. I arrived here, Connect, still asking that question, and, although I was often told, "No, it doesn't 'go away'," not until a Wise Soul on Connect assured me that I'd at least a chance to slow, and maybe even stop (for a term), the progression of my disease, but Step No. 1 was to quit asking for my neuropathy to go away entirely. My job was to whittle away at my symptoms: identify them, talk to others with similar symptoms, find out how they'd found success, and the get to work, doing all and everything I could to manage my disease. The Wise Soul was right. It was possible to whittle away at my symptoms. But Step No. 1 was for me to stop hoping that I'd wake up one morning and my neuropathy would miraculously be gone, a malady of the past, yesterday's bad news.

Here's wishing us all success in managing our individual PN!

@blowerk1216
I have had injection before surgeries but not for neuropathy.
Is that helpful? Does it worth with our nerve system.
Please let me know what helps you.

It now appears that my issues are possibly caused by a spinal issue, I’m waiting to have an MRI to confirm.

@jeraldrondo430 I take 100 mg of Nortriptyline for depression due to failed spine surgeries. Nortriptyline is also used as a pain killer and it helps my back pain. You can have the dose upped to as high as 150 mg. Just thought I'd let you know. I take pain killers too after my pain specialist tried 2 small procedures on my spine, including the spinal stipulator, which did not work. There's got to be a cure out there somewhere.

@jeraldrondo430 I’m sitting here debating when I should go shopping because the neuropathy is now worse than the pain. I’ll do my usual 4 hour gabapentin and Norco, tak a shower and go out before it all returns. It is getting closer to every 3 hours. I just want my enjoyable life back. You are right about finding a cure. There’s got to be more than taking a pill . I hear so much good about the Mayo Clinic. Have you ever been there?
