@cezanne
Yes it seems when GI doctors can't find anything they give you the IBS story . It's hard because you're the one dealing with the problem not them. Sometimes you need a good teaching hospital where someone thinks out of the box sort of speak. Hang in there keep searching
@cezanne I have Hiatus Hernia,colitis,diverticulitis and an inflamed stomach and am after going through a very bad patch.I am now finding a bland diet good eg.chicken,broccoli and potatoes for dinner.I try to have small meals for the hiatus hernia.

@cezanne I too was diagnosed with IBS which confused me as I thought IBS caused diarrhea which I do not have. Learned there are 2 types, IBS-D and IBS-C. I have IBS-C and have been on 290mcg Linzess daily. While the first week it caused diarrhea, it has settled and now I am fairly regular. Stool is still a bit loose with some solid but regular. There are still foods that can flair stomach pain and nausea which I have noted to avoid. Also, not eating a meal later than 5PM has helped. I don't skip the Linzess and make sure to drink LOTS of water with it. I also stopped taking Benefiber and other stimulants as I read not to take them with Linzess. I hope you find a balance that works for you.
