Has anyone successfully used chiropractor to repair hiatal hernia?

Posted by cmdw2600 @cmdw2600, Jan 28, 2024

A friend who had a hiatal hernia said her chiropractor “fixed it” in one visit. I would be skeptical but her endoscopy the following year did not indict evidence of hiatal hernia.

Just wondering if anyone else has experience.

Thank you,
Cindy

The problem with all of these is comments is zero experience. Everyone who’s never tried a chiropractor or natural doctor always has lots of really intelligent sounding opinions about them.

For me, personally, a person who used to mock vitamin takers and chiro-cult weirdos, I can tell you YES. THEY. CAN.

Don’t even get me started on the number of health issues traditional medicinal “doctors” either couldn’t figure out or wanted to do major surgery for that didn’t need it, that natural doctor figured out and fixed in ONE visit. Hiatal hernia was one of them. One visit. Four years ago. Never had an issue since. I first went to her because of a “severe sprained ankle” two surgeons couldn’t figure out for two years and basically told me I’d never walk again without aid. She fixed me in one visit and 30 days of cbd oil.

They focus strongly on nutrition, which most traditional doctors have zero education in. But ironically, poor nutrition causes a SLEW of health issues. And good nutrition helps the body heal in miraculous ways.

Also good grief don’t let these people tell you that chiropractors aren’t doctors. They have a doctorate, just not in “traditional medicine”. And if you actually look into it, you’ll find that they have a significant amount of more schooling that general practice doctors.

But just to re-answer your question. YES. I HAVE EXPERIENCE with a Chiro fixing a hiatal hernia. One visit. Never again had an issue.

I recently went through a whole slew of tests at a local chiropractor/ Functional medical Dr’s office .
I did tests that I didn’t even know existed along with lots of X-rays and lots of bloodwork ( the bloodwork done at a lab ).
When I went for my results, he went over everything w/ me . My gosh at 62 with all my 10 years of digestive disorders ( and after seeing 6 Gastro Dr’s having 7 diagnoses).. this guy made me feel like on was on deaths door at 62 .
His treatment plan was extensive and $9,600 .
I said , no thanks .
I went for a few adjustments and the machine that vibrates your back and neck that my insurance paid and I paid $22 co pay .
I no longer go .
I still suffer greatly but I don’t think anything he was offering would change that .

@rozy288 there are chiropractors and then there are chiropractors. Obviously the one you saw was more interested in lining his pockets than helping you!

I know of people who have been helped by true chiropractors and I am sure the treatment for their hiatal hernias did not cost anywhere close to even $900, never mind over $9,000! And no self respecting chiropractor will claim the hernia sufferer is completely cured. Yes, a very good chiropractor can manipulate the stomach out of the hole in one’s diaphragm, but there is no guarantee that part of that stomach will not slip back into the hole in the diaphragm unless the hole has been repaired too. As @linda82’s chiropractor cautioned, it can do that so quite often the treatment may not be the cure, although the treatment can being some relief, even if for a period of time and the treatment can be ongoing for that reason.
