@mrsr1234 , I finally went to Urgent care ortho last week and was diagnosed with ITBS, which I had in my other leg several years ago. It resolved with PT. This time he gave me a printout of exercises that should help it. I was able to get back on the stairstepper without too much pain. My flares are on the outside of the knee and a line of pain and soreness up the outside of the thigh and down the outside of the calf. Ice is helping too.
