I second @karukgirl’s “Welcome” and comments about your downtown stay in Rochester when you visit for March appointments. It sounds like others have encouraging things to say about your hotel choice. I know you are waiting for pet parents and I cannot help. But…..

I agree with you, calling the hotel directly is a good idea. Additionally, I thought I’d pipe in to suggest looking at Rochester downtown using Google Maps Satellite Mode to get a visual of green spaces, put everything in perspective.

I am interested to hear what you learn about accessible green spaces. Also, it sounds like this is your first trip to Rochester and Mayo Clinic. Do you mind sharing a bit more about what brings you to Mayo Clinic and/or what you will be addressing while there? Will anyone be traveling with you and your dog?

@jlharsh great idea about Google Maps. I would not have thought of that. I will be traveling with my husband and this will be his second visit to Mayo. First visit we stayed in a Airbnb house about 1/2 mile from St. Mary’s hospital. Great for our dog but really not the easiest with walking to St. Mary’s to catch the shuttle to Mayo. My husband has Cardiac Sarcoidosis and Heart Failure. His local Cardiologist is at KU Hospital in Kansas. We very much appreciate the expertise and support of Mayo.
