Richard Wassersug attended the ancan.org Weekly advanced prostate cancer online meeting on Monday. He spent a lot of time discussing different options for ADT. He personally has been on estradiol for 22 years. Never became castrate resistant

He encouraged people to go to the estradiol initiative website, and see what’s going on. The biggest factor right now is that Drug companies aren’t interested in estradiol or testing estradiol because it is so cheap. It would leave no market for their drugs. That’s one of the reasons its not been recognized By the FDA and doctors who would prescribe it. It’s just not a big money maker like the current ADT drugs. It cost 100th of the cost of the current ADT drugs.

People can watch the Ancan.Org Meeting from this Monday at the ancan.org Website. The discussion of estradiol did not occur until about one hour and 45 minutes into the meeting, but it lasted for almost an hour. Many different people were involved in questions and answers to estradiol issues.

One thing that was discussed was the claim that castrate resistance was not due to the ADT drugs, but was due to cosmic rays affecting the multiplying cancer cells. Some back-and-forth discussion about that and many other interesting things.
