Lyrics was developed by a High School chemistry class. It got on the market by a drug company who bought the drugs from them. Try Scotch, it kills the pain and you could care less about anything else. I don’t know how these drugs get developed but you can hear laughter in the labs.

I am taking 100mg 3x a day. This has been so relieving. It took a while to get the correct dose. I am so thankful.

@dianeguy
I too was on gabapentin, but it didn’t stop the pain. I have radiation damage to my right sciatic nerve. The pain is severe. I am now on Lyrica and it does help with the pain thank God. I take 300 mg twice a day.
I have gained about 10 pounds in three months. I have stage four breast cancer and I just started a new chemo. This is the first intervenous chemo that I have taken, and I tried water fasting the day before the chemo the day of the infusion and the day after the chemo. For the last month I have not eaten much because I don’t feel well. I still have not lost a single pound. Which I think is very odd. I have brain fog from the Chemo so I apologize if I am rambling. I am going to discuss the low-dose drug that has been discussed here.

@cit10jetjockey if you have neuropathy alcohol is one of the worst things that you can take for try to get some kind of physical therapy treatment exercise blood sugar control and maybe Gabapentin work good for me you'll never find any doctor or neurologist that'll recommend alcohol that's one of the worst things that you can do is everything that I've researched and read I have neuropathy I've had it for about 5 years and my feet and legs up to my waist and I'm worried I'm praying how about autonomic neuropathy Loma Linda Medical Center has a neuropathy clinic in Loma Linda California and they have a really good success with their program and they're very helpful free video calls phone calls I've been talking to him for years and I just haven't been able to get out there because of my circumstances

@maryrdavis keep looking into therapy to help keep your nerves alive because if you just take painkillers your neuropathy will progress fight your blood sugar and keep a good diet and exercise and look into programs like Loma Linda Medical Centers neuropathy Clinic where they have the non-invasive physical therapy that's proven to help a lot of people

@cgs ty I appreciate it. Yes I am very careful of my diet. Currently I am doing PT 3 times a week along with my indoor bike, and dumbell weights 2x a week. Now I am dealing with skin changes in left foot. Sloughing off, peeling. I see doctor tomorrow.

I was taking a trial of Lyrica a few years ago and one day became incoherent. I couldn't finish a sentence. ER admitted me for 3 days and figured out that I was reacting to Lyrica. Unfortunately, it was the only medication that ever helped my PN pain. It was a bummer that I couldn't tolerate it!

I know that it has helped a lot of people.

Hi
I’ve been on gabapentin but switched to pregabalin which is better for brain fog and pain for me. I do have a constant headache across my temples and my tinnitus has worsened. Does anyone else experience this? I was originally on 75mg 2x day but have dropped it to 50mg 2x day with same effects.
What is the lowest dose people have found beneficial? These drugs are tricky to balance.
Thanks

That dosage depends on your personal need and types of pain. With 10-15years or more of polyneuropathy, plantar fasciitis, arthritis an sciatica, I had to go to more frequent dosing 150mg 3x--even more often as I went through hyperalgesia from quitting tramadol. Brain fog is not an issue as eliminating tramadol cleared severe brain/memory/emotional fog. I worked closely during the tapering and now with pain management.
