Hey, i have been suffering from uars which is a lesser known and recognised form of sleep apnea, i am absolutely debilitated by it yet ive been to many doctors and non took it seriously and treated me, the only thing that i have been offerd is septoplasty and turbinate reduction without actually acknowldging my problem, i tried cpap and bipap and cant tolorate it, it feels like a endless loop and i feel.suicidal and like all the roads are closed, it feels really hopeless and i prefer suicide on having zero life quality like this

You need a sleep specialist in addition to an otolaryngologist. Maybe in one skin. I don't know if such an animal exists, but surely somewhere on the planet there is someone who specializes in UARS.

Have you been to apneaboard.com forum? They are a wealth of good information there and they help people with all sort of problems with various types of apnea/hypopnea. Take a look!

@ariza9110, upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS) is a condition that was first identified and described at Stanford University. You can read more about effective treatments here:
- Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS) https://stanfordhealthcare.org/medical-conditions/sleep/upper-airway-resistance-syndrome.html

I notice that you have started other discussions where you signal that you are losing hope as you deal with multiple health issues. Have you considered talking with a social worker or mental health professional to help your mental wellbeing as you face such health challenges? They are hard to deal with on your own. A social worker may be able to help.

I can’t imagine what you’re going through and I’m so sorry to hear how you’re suffering. Please be patient! Your life is valuable! I’m going to pray right now that God will open a door for you and that you will be able to find joy in living again. Bless you, Debbie
