Have been having ringing in both ears for 10+ years and also experience an imbalance issue where I need help with moving around the house. No dizziness when seated — just with movement. This imbalance is my biggest problem.

@nants is it in your ears or in your head? I used to think that ringing i had was in my ears at first, but now I do get ringing in my ears from time to time. And its a completely different sound. I can't say that mine came from my shunt being put in the wrong place but, the headaches stared horribly, then the ringing. Not long after I developed a stutter and it got pretty bad. The worse my headaches got, they seemed like brain freezes, nt like a drink some cold ice cold tea real quick brain freeze, but a shotgun a hole supervise big gulp of that frozen ice stuff they had in one quick second. It would take m breath, and knock me to my knees. And after the stutter, my walking started to look like my talking. Not good. I got put in speech therapy and then in PT, to try and help my gait. About the only thing that helped was some crutches called lofstrand or forearm crutches. After the new dr finally put my shunt in the correct place, and the headaches weren't quite as bad and as frequent, my stuttering wasn't quite as bad but my walking still requires crutches. And the ringing, it hasn't stopped, or dropped or gone down in pitch at all. Sometimes, it does seem to mess with my balance and as much as I try and as much as I say, it does get to me. It's kinda hard not to, when it's playing in your head, all day, all night, ALL, the time. I feel for you friend,I really, really do.
