I agree. Your PT is out of line. If it continues complain to someone. Maybe you can get reassigned to another PT. At one month from surgery I was using pain tablets also. Icing is really important.

@aileenredding So true! To add to your thoughts, I might suggest doing some PT exercises at home. And omg, it hasn't even been four weeks for her yet.
