I saw an ENT. First he put me on Nystatin for a week. Then put me on some medication that the pharmacy had to make up it was called something like Magical something. Anyway that didn't work either. He did do a couple of tongue cultures which came back negetive. I have been following your mail and decided to try diluted peroxide. Swishing around in my mouth before bedtime. It has worked to some extent. I also have mental health issues and this mouth thing is not helping me as I get very stressed.
Does anyone out there have any answers Patti
Yes, I've seen primary care and internal specialist also my dentist. It goes away, but returns. Saw primary Dr yesterday now on Magic mouth rinse. I have found coconut oil to be soothing.
@jamienolson, March 2015 was my first thrush, was the worst case my doctor had ever seen. He called his partner in to see it. Was horrible. Took over a week before I could eat anything but yogurt and soup. December 2016, had it again, and again April 9, 2017, it was very mild the last time. I caught it sooner. Stress is certainly a factor on all, but the first two I had used essential oils. This third time that wasn't a part of it. Calling my doctor tomorrow as it hasn't gone completely away this time. In the morning I have the white tongue. I rinse with salt water and do a coconut oil rinse in the morning and it fades from the front of my tongue by evening, but there's still some at the back. No painful bumps, just a tingling on the back of my tongue.
