I think that mine has to do with nerves. I have also tried all of the itch creams and lotions (Aveno, Sarna, Benadryl, CeraVie, Eucrisa - so many) I tried xanax, pain meds... everything. I have been to dermatologists (the most recent one suggested Rinvoq which I have not tried (they are submitting blood tests for insurance), I have been to pain management, I have been to primary, internal... my liver and kidneys are fine. My iron is great. It is not an allergy, (I have tried every allergy pill out there), it is not any variation of Hep. LOL I do not have tuberculosis. My bloodwork is 100% normal and healthy. I am 5'5 and about 115-120 pounds, so I don't think my weight has anything to do with it. I exercise 5-7 days per week. I am at a complete loss for what this is and I too am going crazy. The best thing that I have found (and the relief was only about 4-5 hours) is ibuprofen+tramadol+acupuncture+aloe. If there is ever a study on this, I would love to be a part of it. I have had this come and go for years and this time I have had it for about a week and nothing is helping in any sort of meaningful way. Ice packs help temporarily.

@hmeg I a haven’t had an episode for about 8 months. But last month I started itching, only on my bicep. Ice packs work best for me too, temporarily.
