Hi - I have occasional painful skin as well. It's not all over unless I'm having a severe flare, but is usually the skin on my middle back and upper arms. Go figure. I have been told that it is indeed a symptom of fibromyalgia. My pain doctor prescribes a pain-relieving compounded cream that works wonders. Unfortunately, as a compound, it is not covered by insurance, but is worth every penny of the $50 that it costs.

@lwmarcrum May I ask Do you see a pain management doctor for fibromyagia? I am really not getting much help/answers from my rheumatologist. Do you know the ingredients of the compounded cream?
