Anyone take Anastrozole every other day?

I tried Letrozole with horrible joint pain in my hips and leg cramps. I was given a “drug holiday” and changed to Exemstane. Same side effects, 7 months in the side effects kept getting worse instead of better.
I asked my Onc (NP) can I try one of them every other day, because I’m not going to be able to tolerate this. She said it’s “not standard of care”, and had no interest in continuing conversation.
There are clear studies that show Exemstane can be taken 3 times a week with less side effects and no change in longevity or recurrence.
I took a drug holiday for a week to let some clear and started back 3 x week. My life, my body and my choice.
Quality is important to me too.
PS someone mentioned they had it for two years and no one listened! Exact same scenario here. 2.5 years of telling them I have this lump, that kept getting bigger (slowly). They kept blowing it off as “scar tissue” from previous BC 20+ years ago. It was an inch above the old scar and they kept saying scar and scar tissue can separate and that’s why the scar has moved down from age and what you’re feeling is scar tissue. I even said, so does scar tissue start growing 20+ years later?
End result was Stage 3… after I pushed them.

@lcshaffer13 I know what you mean! I've gotten the same response from my Onc (NP) and decided to take my health choices into my own hands too. After all there are studies to show a non-inferior result from 3X/week.
Good for you for pushing for a scan.
