My doctors; heart failure, EP, PCP, said 400 mg of magnesium was a safe level to take for my PVC issues.

I am on so many medications: Entresto, Carvedilol, Mexiletine, as well as others for other reasons. My normal blood pressure with these medications (which reduced it dramatically) is low normally 90/60. However when my weight goes up like now it goes up to 100/70.

My heart failure doctor becomes concerned when I lose weight as my BP will fall to 90/60. At that point he says if goes lower he will separate the times I take my heart medication but no mention of magnesium. He is concerned with dizziness when standing.

I take the magnesium for PVCs. Ask your doctors about taking magnesium as they are the only ones who have your full medical history and can advise if something will affect you personally.

@jc76 what form of magnesium do you take?

@jc76 I know what it is like to have bp of 90 / 60 without meds. I have googled the side effects of meds you are taking and you say you are taking more. Your doc is concerned about dizziness, yet the meds he is prescribing are a side effect.

I do not know what age you are, I am 77 and take none.

You need to start taking personal responsibility for your health. I would be surprised if your original symptoms are not due to horrible diet. In my OPINION, the meds and bad diet will be the end of you if you do not start obtaining information and make changes. Eat the foods that contain magnesium. That is the problem, you believe you can swallow pills, follow blindly what a heart failure doctor says when he has you taking a bunch of drugs and you will be getting better instead of worse.
