I had the same kind of experience but with only half of my vision. I could only see half of a page on a book or half of the room I was in, it didn't last long but it was scary. Went to the eye doctor and he said I had an ocular stroke and was lucky that the clot kept on moving, sent me to a cardiologist and I am going through lots of test now.
2 years ago my eyes pixelated. I couldn't see anything it looked like I was looking through a kaleidoscope, lasted an hour. They called that an ocular migraine. Really interesting what new things are happening or happening to me any way. Lets all pray that it doesn't happen again.

I hope your cardiologist helps you figure it out. My first experience was both eyes suddenly pixelated/kaleidoscope just as you described. Then I had a few times where I briefly lost partial vision in one eye. All ocular strokes / amaurosis fugax. Then finally I had a couple cognitive TIAs aka mini-stroke. Now I’m finally taking blood thinners because every incident was right after a long episode of afib so caused by a blood clot that luckily freed itself each time. Scary each time. I’m not having any issues taking Eliquis and haven’t had any more episodes in the 4 months I’ve been taking it. Best of luck to you.
