@nycmusic What I love about Dr. Doug Lucas are his YouTube videos that do in-depth reviews of research papers. This input has been a cornerstone of my osteoporosis journey.

He includes links to the papers, or the abstracts in cases where those published articles are behind paywalls. The video sometimes zooms in on a section of a page or chart and I have paused the video to read those in detail.

But, I always follow up by trying to research the specific paper and the general topic myself. And so should everyone about everything you hear in this arena, even if from your own doctor, unfortunately.

My own investigations have led me to different conclusions than Dr. Doug Lucas a few times that I can recall. Most of those were about diet, protein intake for example.

I also like that Dr. Doug Lucas does evolve his opinions, and explains *why* his view changed.

So, I agree with the advice from NYCmusic, and go beyond the book as more studies have come out, and Dr. Doug Lucas has incorporated newer research in his outlook videos, since the book was written.
