Pulmonary Fibrosis, nosebleeds

Posted by grrranny @grrranny, Jan 11 10:44pm

84 year-old hubby having nosebleeds the last few days and nights.
They last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour.
Taking no prescription meds -- but an Evenity injection once a month for 10 months so far.
Some congestion, too.
What to do?

I am not sure if he is on oxygen, but when I was I would get nosebleeds due to it drying out my nasal passages. My doctor told me to get a gel nasal spray, which worked for me.

Yes, he's on oxygen, and does use saline nasal spray. The nosebleeds stopped the last few days, but started again tonight 6 hours after taking doc-recommended Mucinex for his congestion. Could nosebleeds be a side effect of Mucinex? His nose is always running.
