MM,
We have learned so much from you over these years. You were one of the brave ones to leave your home area and participate in a clinical trial which ultimately will help others. It required sacrifice and while it provided research data it also greatly affected your health. You rebounded somehow and shared that journey with us. You often provided detailed information that was easy to understand .
You need and deserve to take a break from us. I am so glad you are in the Sunshine state. I hope you feel warmth and loving light all around you. With great love and admiration I say goodbye for now.
Mark, reading your posts over the past few years motivated me to get off my butt and out of my funk after Whipple surgery. I got back to my routine and began enjoying life again. My motto was, “if Mark can do it, I can do it”. Even though most of us only know each other virtually, we still consider each person on this forum to be a friend. Thank you for being my friend. God bless you.
Tears coming to my eyes as I read your message. Thank you for your input and support to this group. I remember your messages to me and your follow up with me after I had not posted for a while. May God's angels walk with you at this time. You have helped and touched more people than you know.
Mark, may you know that you have the presence of the Lord, who is watching and waiting for you with His open arms. I pray that you may feel His presence. Home is not here on Earth, but rather in Heaven.
Remember and pray for all of us remaining that we have the strength and courage you have to accept God’s will, whenever that time comes. Thanks be to God.
Was so sorry to see your good bye. Your name was one I always looked for when trying to learn about my husband's cancer because you were so giving in sharing your knowledge and experiences. Thank you for helping all of us. I lost Dan 8 months ago and this is the first I've commented since then on this forum, but I've continued to get email updates. Maybe now I can step up and help someone else like you helped me. Thank you. 💕

@markymarkfl and family, this time in hospice is a time for you to just be. A time to find peace and be together, no longer patient and caregiver, but husband and wife surrounded by loved ones.
Mark, while you may no longer read these messages as you focus on family and the next journey, we are eternally grateful for what you have shared. Your legacy lives on in the words that you've posted on Mayo Clnic Connect for members who read tham as you posted and for those yet to come to this forum looking for connection.
May you be comfortable and pain free and find the peace you so deserve. May your family find comfort in knowing you will be walking hand in hand with our Holy Maker through the beautiful garden in heaven.
You were here for all of us.
I will always remember.
Thank you.
