@stephanieann so how come no one has info on nickel. I am highly allergic to nickel yet that metal level isn't tested. How come? Pretty soon it will be full time in a wheelchair. I metal screws place as part of the THR procedure and believe nickel is to blame but as far as I know, they don't test the levels.
Does anyone have insights?

@bug3 Have you confirmed the screws in your THR are nickel? Mine are titanium, as are the screws in my knee where a new ACL was ancored.
How was it determined that the cause of issues with your THR is due to nickel allergy? Has anyone suggested removing and replacing with a glued acetabular cup?
