@scoop - sorry to resurrect this two year old post but do you notice any difference between NAC and Musinex? Do you use them interchangeably? Also I see you take yours first thing along with your inhaler prior to nebulizing and airway clearance. I may need to switch that up as I’ve been taking mine later after breakfast so I have something in my stomach. Do you tolerate the NAC ok without any issues? I didn’t do well when nebuizing NAC but so far am doing ok on NAC tablets but it’s only been a few weeks. Haven’t noticed any change regarding being able to bring up any mucus though.

@rmoore901 Glad that you are resurrecting this post as my routine has evolved. Based on discussion with pulmonologist, who has years of experience treating both bronchiectasis and CF patients, I discontinued NAC. He remarked that its effectiveness is limited. Instead, in addition to 25mg of Brinsupri, I take 1200mg of mucinex (brand name) 1-2 times a day. To keep my throat moist during nebbing, I sip extra strong mullein tea with honey. It's soothing if nothing else.
