Pain above right eye brow

Thank you for posting you sinus concern here. I would like to connect you with other members who are also here on Mayo Clinic Connect discussing sinus pain. Please meet @ladysky, @pizon, @citylady, @digmeme, @robbinr and @pizon. Can any of you share with Frank whether or not you have experienced the same brow pain when coughing, laughing or bending down? Have any of you been diagnosed with Chronic Sinusitis? Also, has anyone found that things in your diet affect your symptoms? Do your sinus symptoms react when certain foods or drinks are consumed?

Yes, I have chronic Sinusitis and when I say chronic, I mean seven days a week twelve months out of the year. I am really sick with it right now because the oaks and pecans are blooming where I live. I am having brain fog, nausea, weakness, shortness of breath, headache, eye ache, earache and toothache. I have had a sinus scan and a MRI which indicated I have sinus infections and a blocked sphenoid sinus under my right eye. The doctor wants to unblock my sphenoid sinus but I haven't gotten up the courage, yet. I guess I should go ahead and do it. I am sure it would help the pain under my right eye. The biggest problem I am having right now is a very sore nose. I do have a deviated septum and at times a dry nose especially the right nostril which is more open than the left. I frequently have a post nasal drip and a sore throat. My nose drips a clear liquid constantly and you would not believe the kleenex I go through in a day. The only thing that helps is Sudafed which you have to sign for, provide ID and feel like a criminal. The allergy meds and sprays don't help. Of course, if the infection is really bad, I have to take antibiotics but these are not good for my colitis, cystitis and yeast overgrowth. I do use a neti pot and that helps the sore nose. So I understand some of what you have. Take care and stay strong.

For me it all started in the middle of August 2016, where my both ears were plugged up (that;s what I call it) and my nose constantly dripping and of course been going thru a lot of tissue. In September I decided to see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. She inform me to use twice daily a the sinus rinse and she put me on antibiotics. But the antibotics did not do anything for me. I went back to see the same doctor and she told me use sudafed for a week and nose spray (flonase). I did that and still did not do anything for me. I am one of those person that have glaucoma and AFIB. So I have to be very careful what type of medication to take. In November I decided to contact an allergy doctor. Of course I did the MRI and CAT-SCAN of my sinuses. My allergy doctor inform me that I have an infection in my sinuses. So he also prescribe more antibiotics for about 2 and 1/2 weeks. Guess what it did not work. Went back to see my allergy doctor and inform him to give me a prescription of allergy medication. Since August thru December I was so miserable. I took the allergy pill at night and the next day I felt great. So, from that time I take allergy medication before I go to bed. The medication I'm taking is Loratadine. It is the thing as Claritin, but I prefer the prescription version better.

I also have now is this pain above my right eye elbrow whenever I laugh, cough and bend over to pick things up. This pain last for about 5 minutes and then disappears. This all started in August 2016 till now.

My other problem is when my right ear is plugged, I get this pain that travels from my ear to back of head (only on the right side) that last for a while.

By the way, my allergy doctor refer me another ENT doctor and this doctor did a balloon sinus dilation procedure on my sinuses back in February 2017. I feel much better now.
