Thanks Phil. Suspect due to damage caused when catheter fitted. Seems to happen ocassionally. More regular at bladder neck closer to surgery like yours. Glad your issue resolved ok. R

I know your reply here was to heavyphil but I too had that stricture you mentioned in same exact area you posted. I know mine was caused by the catheter being inserted.

I did not have RP so did not respond to your initial post. What I had was 30 rounds of proton radiation. On the day I had simulation done the R/O wanted to put in a contrast through my penis uretha (spell) per his words (get a look at back side of prostate). He did this on the day doing simulation and I was having CTs and x-rays being done so set up my treatment bed.

I remember it hurt when he inserted the catheter. I then noticed some burring in the exact point you stated. Then I guess it healed but could tell it changed my urine flow.

I asked my R/O about it and he expressed the same concerned I did. If they go back in could it cause another stricter. But I think if done slowly and carefully would not have the same injury done when it was done on simulation day.

I don't like the change to my urine flow (kind of sprays versus a nice stream) but can live with it. I think it has added to my dribbling as maybe all urine has not left penis. I plan to discuss with my PCP next visit.
