Does anyone experience people talking or reading in riddles that have or had seizures? A lot of people ask what is riddles only way I can describe it is when I read or have two people talking it’s in riddle form and drives me crazy or have to shut what I am reading down. Usually passes somewhat quickly but scares me when it happens the pictures or voices go back and forth like I am loosing my mind.

@santosh099 the 30 min EEG I was recommended to be sleep deprived. The 48 hr at home I asked about stopping the med she said no still take the medication and as far as my CPAP which I use the nostril mask she said if it gets in the way then just don’t use it. I would think I wouldn’t take the meds to try and see if anything happens and my sleep apnea is pretty bad at times. It starts at a 6 and goes to 17 for my episodes so it’s just a hot mess for sure. So do I stop the med day before the at home test or just continue

Hi @crissyh76
My advice would be to follow your doctor's instructions for the exam. If she's recommended continuing your medications, it's because reducing or stopping them outside of a hospital setting isn't safe.
The only time I've had my medication adjusted for an EEG was during a video EEG monitoring at the hospital, where I was under constant medical supervision.
Please stay safe!

I'm not the most obedient patient when in the hospital or even when given instructions by a doctor unless the doctor is very specific about why they want it done a certain way.
I agree with @santosha regarding safety. If you had a seizure at home it is seldom necessary to call 911 or go to a hospital. However if you went into Status Epilepticus you should have someone with you since status requires immediate medical intervention. I would like to know if the doctor is going to admit you to an epilepsy center for further evaluation if your 48-hour test is normal or is s/he going to automatically say your seizures are psychogenic without any further testing.
Best of luck,
Jake
