@mfinley It's rough for sure. The doctors were worried I'd get sepsis from the perforation leaking bad things into my abdomen. It took a long time to be able to eat again and regain my strength. But I feel pretty good now, still able to work in my huge garden and cut firewood with my son. I'm grateful for every day. Let's hope we're the lucky ones who don't have to go through that again! Try the probiotics. I know the whole probiotic thing can seem like it's being taken to a faddish extreme sometimes but there's definitely some good science about the importance of a healthy gut biome so it's worth a shot.
