After colon resection: What helps with severe gas?

@mfinley Hi, I’m just over 2 years out after colon resection due to perforated colon caused by colon cancer tumor blockage. It does seem to change everything, doesn’t it? I find that eating fresh fruit regularly, especially non-acidic types like cantaloupe and strawberries, really helps to calm my digestion. I also take a probiotic capsule every evening after dinner. There’s a good one that has 13 different strains with prebiotics that helped to rebuild my digestion after bouts of extreme nausea before and after surgery. I still have gassy times if I eat sweet carbohydrate snacks as the occasional treat but it’s mostly much better.

@larust8 yes it does change everything. I've been told that the bowel obstructions would happen again. At some point down the road because of extreme scar tissue.I was in the hospital in july and august for the same thing. That almost killed me in june. But it resolved itself with in youtube, pain, medication, and so forth.

If you don't want me asking, what probiotic do you use
