Anyone else feel Isolated and not go out due to chronic pain?

Hello, I’m new here, I was recommended to join and interact with others who are in a similar situation as myself, I don’t go out much due to chronic pain and I feel isolated, anyone else feel the same?

This past Sunday at 4 AM I was in so much total body pain I wondered how I was going to endure the rest of my life. I am 77. I was in that period of not being totally awake but not asleep either. I heard a voice in my subconscious say to me "make peace with your pain." As a practicing Catholic, I took this as a message from God and every day I say to myself, "make peace with my pain." This is simplistic I know but it has encouraged me. I too feel socially isolated despite being in independent living in a CCRC. My husband died of cancer during covid and that grief and social isolation brought my level of wellness down several notches. I think the ramifications of the covid year(s) were the undoing of many of us for different reasons.

Hi Kerry,

How are things going? I did chk a bit re the site your daughter plays that game on. Can you ask her if there's a way to follow along but not play the game? Maybe she's on Bluesky or Substack?

Hope she's trying new things & even mother can feel an uplifted sense of happy relief too. Taken care.
