@moski I'm now off Eliquis for about three months now. Every joint hurt. This is now bettering, but my walk is still as if my ankles are made of wood. My knees still hurt, but slightly better. I still have indigestion. No longer have vertigo. It really affected my muscles, which makes sense because it is dissolving clots.. Because it was thought my clots were due to a medication I was on (it was a trial Eliquis was stopped suddenly.the doctor said it would leave my system in three days. Not so. Still have pain but no longer a 10.

@gabriig most of the adverse reactions faded fairly quickly for me. 1-2 days. Except the GI issues that took 5 months. They even ran GI testing and found basically nothing. It’s been 9 months And I’m still having some very slight problems. I changed my diet drastically lots of plain salmon and sweet potatos or red potatoes helped a lot. Now still it’s basically plain everything and I went/still go to acupuncture. Pepcid and GasX were my best friends. I raised the head of the bed up 6 inches and sometimes I even slept in a chair. No real caffeine and no drinking from straws. My nightly relaxation routine calms me and I sleep well most nights
On a good note I lost 3/4 of the weight that I gained while on Diltalizan.
With all the changes I’ve had no Afib and I just biked 15 miles. Earlier in the year I was a basket case with lots of intense Afib. It seemed like all the Drs wanted to do was medicate me. Arminodrone and Multeq or ablation that they gave me a 70% chance of working.
Now it’s just a beta blocker carvedilol and a tiny dose of the anticoagulant Warfarin.
Pharmacy thinks the standard dose of Eliquis or any of the newer drugs was over dosing me.
