@hdeff How much vitamin D is too much ? D3 ? Most things I read recommend a balance of both…most of the better supplements have both… maybe, some people have different reactions to D ?
Hi, is anyone taking Tymlos (abaloparatide) injections? I would like to know your experience and results. I have osteoporosis in neck, spine and hips. My PA recommended Tymlos 2 years ago after Alendronate and one injection of Reclast showed no improvement. I was nervous to consider a daily injection and a side effect is bone cancer. Now, 2 years later I am having daily lower back pain. Xray shows exaggerated lordosis of the lumbar spine with L3-4 and L4-5 anterolisthesis. Disc space narrowing is most notable at L4-5. Currently attending PT and doing home exercises. I would appreciate any insight. I feel alone in this. I have 2 older sisters and only one has some osteopenia. Thanks!
Meitene616, the forward bone slippage is usually caused by disc degeneration. Physical therapy can help strengthen the the muscles and ligaments to keep the vertebra in line. I'd be wanting an MRI and possibly a visit with a minimally invasive spine surgeon. You may have a damaged disc that could be repaired or replaced or even removed. Sometimes discs heal on their own, but it is more difficult with the vertebral slippage.
Then again the slippage maybe a minor part of the narrowing.
It is possible that PT can't help. Without a lumbar MRI, you don't have enough information. https://www.focusphysiotherapy.com/spondylolisthesis-exercises-safe-avoid/

Oh, and the black box has been removed from Tymlos. Tymlos is no longer suspected of being risk for cancer of the bone.

I wish I knew because it's very confusing. I'm still being monitored for mine.
