Atrial fibrillation, pain

Before I was diagnosed with A-fib, I was on Alodipine, then on Cardizem while I waited for cardioversion, then very briefly on Flecainide while deciding on an ablation. I could feel my heartbeat at night almost all the time while awake and when at rest during the day--ever present. Since my ablation, I am off all those meds and I sleep at night without that sensation--it took me a few days to notice "Hey, I don't feel my heartbeat all the time!--(like normal people!) My friend with A-fib describes the same sensation. We often talked about wondering how anyone could have A-fib and not know it! Everyone is different but you are not alone and you are not wrong.
