@kallubsmqd You have done everything right so far. The little thing you pulled out was the remnants of the cells that went on defense and surrounded the infection. When I was a kid my Dad was prone to boils, and got those after the boil healed. Our family doctor referred to them as "pits" and the body usually absorbed them, but when it didn't my Mom removed them exactly as you described because they were irritated by his shirt collar.
What are you using to sanitize the area? Is this an ear lobe piercing, or in the cartilage? (With less blood supply cartilage piercingsare much slower to heal.)

In either case, after sanitizing with alcohol or another antiseptic solution, use a clean cotton swab to apply a wide spectrum antibiotic cream or salve to the area. Sanitize the earrings every time too.

It sounds like your infection is gone, but if it comes back you might want to see a medical provider.

@sueinmn im glad to hear!!! Its an ear lobe piercing and the thing im using is an antiseptic cleansing liquid from the brand band-aid. Thank you so much for an explanation of what exactly it was I was really nervous. 😥 i’ll look in my familys closet to see if we have a antibiotic cream i can apply for next time i clean it
