Shampoo for hair loss

Hair loss is a common problem associated with many diseases/treatments. I searched through old discussions/comments to see if I could find suggestions/references across many groups, including transplants, cancer, and aging.

Not sure if that is the brand you were looking for. Hopefully, other members will respond with recommendations for brands they found helpful.

Hi @marshgirl24 a while back on another thread, I don’t remember which one. We talked about nioxin, I did find that nioxin shampoo helped while I was on anastrozole. I used it weekly, and my other shampoo the other washes because I did find that if I used it every wash, it dried out my hair. I still lost more than my share of hair but at least it didn’t look quite so thin.
Nioxin super cleans the follicle, so I believe that it helped with the medication buildup there. My hairdresser said my hair would make major changes every time I had a major medication change.
I also learned to be careful of how my hair is tied up and how tight, because my hair comes out a lot easier. I gave myself a bald spot. Oops. It did grow back. Haha
Have you tried anything else for the shedding?

@roch Thank you. I think the shampoo I was looking for is Augustinus Bader, but I think I'll try the Nioxcin shampoo too.

@auntieoakley Thanks for mentioning the tight hair. I have also been sweeping mine back. Glad your bald spot grew back!
