@alexjo Waited the requisite six days before immersing myself in the hot tub near 1000 hrs, but as soon as I did, my heart, which had not been all that great in terms of being 'better' (I went for a short walk the second afternoon, back home, and struggled with breathlessness and a rapid heart rate), lurched into AF. I had a requisite physician's assessment, family doctor, per instructions later that morning. When he felt my radial pulse, he raised an eyebrow and said, 'You're in AF.' He sent me to the hospital for an urgent ECG, which they did immediately I arrived, and the tech offered to walk me down to emerg....no question my heart was not happy. I was told to cease metoprolol from then on, and placed on amiodarone that afternoon.

To be more clear, I have always been highly symptomatic where many haven't a clue they're in arrhythmia. I can feel a surge or a swelling in my chest just before AF starts, and I can sense the thumping and bumping that ensues. So, as soon as it started when I immersed myself, I knew it was AF....AGAIN! However, being well-read, I knew that AF happens to a great many post-ablation patients, especially early in the blanking period. So, I wasn't concerned until my GP said I needed a proper ECG.
