There is something called prolozone or Prolotherapy. Instead of the harmful junk in most of those injections to relieve pain, this is liquid oxygen that actually helps regenerate. Of course there's no money in a cure so most insurance companies don't cover things that are good for you. I did find a doctor that does this treatment and my insurance does cover it. Fingers crossed.
@cvsnow I was wondering how you’re doing now? I am having what I think is a similar issue but connected to HA dermal filler, particularly Juvederm Voluma that I got over 4 years ago. I feel awful about ever getting these fillers and was told they contained a substance natural to our bodies - Hyaluronic acid - and would be gradually metabolized out of my body by 2 years time. I am not sure what to do since these fillers have not gone anywhere and it is even harder to remove this type of diffuse implant from the body because it is not encapsulated. Have you ever been put on any immunosuppressants or anti rheumatic drugs for your condition?
I honestly think this diagnosis of atypical conn.disorder is a catchall if you don't have specific antibodies . I used to have lupus diagnosis but no symptoms and it was based on. antibody testing but magically that no longer appears on my lupus panel but I still have high ANA which is the only abnormal test. I took hydroxychloroquine for years until my Columbia U neurologist suggested that my neuropathy could be caused by hydroxy. I stopped taking it and actually my labs got better and better.
Thanks so much for this information!! I found a doctor in my area. I will post updates
