I have PMR and never take/took prednisone. That means that I suffered for a few months the pains everyone is describing, which was hard. Now, 6 months later I am much better with only one NSAID a day with an average dose.
I live a healthy life with a good diet, exercise (again) everyday with the app Lazy Fit and walk (again) a lot.
I believe that MY PMR has/had to do with everything that I was experiencing about 8 months ago ( death mother, too much work etc).
I also know from previous experiences( auto- immune diseases) that by changing my life, eventually the disease will go away if I give it time. And that is what is happening now and my specialist encouraged me to try it if I did not get worse.
So far it works for me, but I understand that this isn’t the case for everyone.
