I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and low oxygen at night. Now on BIPAP and oxygen. Still have shortness of breath so tested for lung problems. Diagnosed with exercise induced asthma. Prescribed Albuterol. Used it before exercise. No discernible effect. Don't know if I had side effects, but I just stopped using it as well. I wonder if the NP who prescribed it was aware of my heart palpatations or not, but because of your experience, I will make sure the new lung testing people are aware. Thanks for posting. @capnhal Hi I might mention that for a period of time after an Ablation its possible while you heal to have some signs like the heart beat you mentioned. I would bring it up with you Doctor who did the ablation and let them know. They may say it was normal after an ablation. But also Albuterol being a stimulant can also raise your BP also.

Yes, Albuterol always made my heart race even before afib. My pulmonologist told me not to use it so it doesn’t trigger afib.
