It has worked for me. There are two common theories on how it works that I'm aware of,
1. One wears an oxygen mask and breathes pure oxygen while in the chamber. The pressure may force oxygen through arterioles that are not working properly. This feeds the deprived nerves and allows regeneration. There is some consensus that the best pressure is 2.0 atmospheres
2. When the brain is exposed to pure oxygen it becomes activated and releases stem cells that enter the bloodstream and repair nerves.
3. Both 1 and 2 above may be at work.
Check the internet for hyperbaric chambers and health. It can be expensive. Also
Good luck if you choose to do this. Be careful about scams --- do your homework.

You are right about insurance-doesn't cover it. Symptoms were at the point of me needing to stop driving. Considerable pain coupled with desperation. It took about 10 treatments to have a good noticeable impact. Now people comment on how much better that I can walk. I'm 74 - lucky! Can't take it with you:)
I fail to understand how this can help treat neuropathy.

1 ReactionUnfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover it.
How bad are your PN symptoms, how many treatments did it take to get relief?

2 ReactionsHello @twinks, I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @bb0753 and others. There is another discussion on the same topic that you might want to read what other members have shared:
-- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for Peripheral Neuropathy: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/hyperbaric-oxygen-therapy-1/
Are you able to more about your neuropathy diagnosis and any other treatments you have tried?
@bb0753
Thanks for you HBOT comment - might have saved me some time & $
