@auntieoakley we are hoping she will qualify for a clinical trial in the new year, however, we are told she must stop taking Capecitebine to allow a mass to develop in order for her to be considered for the trial. We are not at a teaching hospital but at BC Cancer Center in Victoria BC. Curious, what type of cancer did you have? Was it TNBC? If so, can I ask what you did to treat the cancer?

@crosschek I do not have TNBC, I have ER+, Her2+ IDC.
I do have an insatiable appetite for information and I read a ton of research and research proposals.
Probably a third of those concentrate on TNBC because that is where the need biggest need is, in terms of finding more effective treatments.
I don’t know the protocols for things like second opinions in Canada. Usually big cancer centers are where we go for this. Not because you don’t trust the doctor you have, but to add another set of eyes and ideas to the case.
That trial sounds like it is counterproductive for you, if the Capecitebine is working.
How is she feeling? Have you looked on the TNBC pages on connect?
