My GI/PA just switched me from script for Linzess to Amitica. After 2 days of nothing, I added colace and MiraLAX& finally I had a BM, but not a healthy one but I’m grateful for something.
Does anyone ever have a “healthy” BM again when taking all these “laxatives”, maintaining diet & exercise?
Sorry you missed two days of what should’ve been relaxing vacation time.

@jkoc2612 Yes, most of it is age related. When the gut says "I will rest now" we get anxious and say "For how long?" My biggest fear is getting stuck in the higher up colon and not being able to get it out, which means a trip to the ER ? I hate exercise, except walking the dog. Sometimes I do laps around the kitchen island, but going to a gym for me is not going to happen. I am my own worst enemy.
