Just a reminder here that what I take may not be appropriate for you. Also the medications I take are from my EP working with my heart failure doctor and both having my full medical and mental health history.
I was starting to have a lot more PVCs and irregular heart beats. At least around 5 years ago I had ablation done on RV and EP said is stopped the PVCs from that location immediately.
When I started having a lot more PVCs he did a heart Holter Monitor and found I had PVCs coming from 3 different areas on LV. I asked to consider doing ablation again as had worked on RV. He was reluctant because was coming from 3 different areas so wanted to try using medications first.
First he recommended me using Magnesium 400 mg (OTC). I asked about which type as many types. He recommended Magnesium Citrate and the reason was absorbed very easy. For some it can create some digestive issues so in that case said the Glycinate was also good.
Second he put me on a medication called Mexiletine 150 mg and every 8 hours. Why every 8 hours? I was told the medication unlike others like Amiridadone (spell but can be very toxic over time per my EP) that can be toxic and build up toxicity the Mexiletine does not stay in blood stream thus must be taken every 8 hours.
Now did it work? And want to emphasize this is my body and my issues so may not be appropriate for you. YES. I have a ICD/Pacemaker and it is checked every 3 months for electrical history of my device.
The device history 3 months after taking the medication showed drastic reduction of irregular heart beats and a 50% reduction in PVCs. My EP was very pleased. Could I feel the difference. YES.
From time to time I have a lot of stress and anxiety. I am a care giver for my wife and things that happen to me also cause stress and anxiety like continue battle with skin cancer. My PVCS will go up with added stress and anxiety.
However I think I mentioned lifestyle. What I have done over the years is to do exercises I love to do. It brings calm to me and relaxes me. I do water aerobics 5 days a week. I ride my bike 10-15 miles twice a week and was swimming until had MOHS surgery on had for a skin cancer. I also love to read and completely takes my mind away.
I hope this helps in what helped me. Many many things can be done with good experienced medical professionals especially a electrophysiologist (electric expert cardiologist) who have the experience and knowledge that profession needs.
But you can do a lot for yourself finding an exercise (with doctors approval) and or a hobby that you like doing. Any thing that helps you relax and brings a smile to your face will help.
Good luck and hope I help sharing my experience with this.
