@midnightwolf Hi Ann, I'd look at it this way...when my aneurysm was at 3,8cm like yours is, I was blissfully ignorant.. out running, climbing mountains, doing crossfit and working a stressful job. The docs have enough experience with these aneurysms that they don't worry until it exceeds 5cm. What you need to do is see how fast the aneurysm is growing... get another echo in 6 months and see how it changed (if at all). That will help you estimate when it is time for surgery which is likely a long way off! Meanwhile, stay in shape and do not fret this.

Thanks Mike I appreciate your advice it very hard for me with anxiety and panic disorder I do see a doctor for that but it seems like some do not have time to hear about it or say you will be fine do not worry. So I’m going to get a second opinion I’m thinking about going to the Cleveland clinic were I live is way out in the country and it is 30 minutes from the city my biggest fear is something happening and no one can get to me in time especially in the winter I’m also thinking about moving back to the city to be closer to medical and family I still can not wrap my head around this sometimes I feel like a ticking time bomb especially when my anxiety is high which causes my blood pressure to go up. And where mine is located the Dr said is a hard place to get to mine aneurysm is the entire visceral segment of the thoracic and upper abdominal aorta 🫀 so that makes me even more worried do not want open heart. I need all the support I can get that’s why I came here besides family that are not living with one. I also like to make new friends dealing with this at times makes me feel really lonely. I try to exercise but due to my back pain I can not do it to much and I do need to loose about 10 pounds. So trying to find some exercises that will not cause more back pain is a challenge if you have any suggestions I’ll take it. Thanks for listening my name is Ann
